Vakit – Privacy Policy

Vakit respects your privacy. We collect only the data needed to calculate prayer times, determine Qibla direction, show Live Activities, and send local reminders. All data stays on your device and no personal data ever leaves your device. Limited data may be collected to improve the advertising experience.

1. Information We Collect

The Vakit app collects only the minimum data necessary to provide basic functionality. No personal data leaves your device.

Important: We do not collect your name, email, photos, microphone, camera, contacts, or other personal data.

2. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used only for the following purposes:

Prayer Times Calculation – Location is processed locally on device.
Qibla Direction – Location + direction combined on device to show Kaaba direction.
Prayer Notifications – If enabled, we schedule local notifications for upcoming prayers.
Live Activities – Live prayer time tracking with Dynamic Island.
iOS Widgets – Show prayer times on home screen widgets.
User Preferences – Remember your settings like language, theme, and calculation method.

Assurance: All data is processed on your device and never sent to any server.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to anyone. All data stays on your device and limited data sharing may occur only in the following cases:

Google AdMob: Limited data sharing to improve advertising experience
Apple Services: Apple's system services for Live Activities and Widgets
Location Services: Apple's location services for prayer time calculations

Important: No personal data ever leaves your device. All processing is done locally.

4. Security

Your data security is very important to us:

Local Storage: All data stays on your iPhone and is never sent to any server
iOS Sandbox: The app is isolated with iOS sandbox
Encryption: Sensitive data is protected by iOS's built-in encryption system
Permission Control: Only necessary permissions are requested and used
Secure Communication: Apple's secure services are used

Assurance: The app never connects to any server and all processing is done on your device.

5. Your Choices & Controls

Revoke Location, Motion, or Notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Vakit.
Disable ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → App Tracking Transparency.
Live Activities: Turn off Live Activities from Dynamic Island.
Widgets: Remove home screen widgets at any time.
App Settings: Change language, theme, and calculation method from within the app.
Delete the app to remove all stored data.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal changes. You will be notified in-app for important updates.
